The company Crystop GmbH, which made its name in the motorhome sector with its AutoSat product, was founded in 1980.
The company took its first steps in the motorhome sector in the late 1980s. Electronic surveillance systems were developed and produced for a number of well-known manufacturers. Then, in May 1991, the European first fully automatic satellite system was presented at the Clou Liner rally hosted by Niesmann + Bischoff in Saarbrücken, Germany. From the outset, the AutoSat name stood for reliability and ease of operation. Those first AutoSat systems are still in use today.
Another milestone in the company’s 35-year history was the development, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Research and Development, of a fast and inexpensive satellite broadcast system for the advanced Ka-band. This has enabled new markets to be opened up in the broadcasting and security sectors.
A customer focus and a highly praised service combined with constant innovation are the keys to the company’s success.
